For: Minority students who demonstrate a committment to pursiong a career in intellectual property law
Award: $15,000

Provides financial support to qualified minority students who demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in intellectual property law.  Students must have exceptional academic performance at the undergraduate, graduate, and law school level, a degree in life sciences, engineering or computer science, or substantial prior trademark experience, relevant work experience, community service, leadership skills, and special accomplishments.  Scholarship recipient will join the firm as a 2011 summer associate.

For: Students enrolled in a California law school. Must have completed at least one year of study

Candidate must be enrolled in a California law school and must have completed at least one year of study at a California law school. They also must demonstrate and document a strong commitment to public service, and provide 3 letters of recommendation and intend to pursue interest legal career after law school. ABA Curtain Justice Fund
For: Law Students who spend the summer working for a legal program designed to prevent homelessness/assist the homeless
Award: $2,500 stipend

Available to law students who spend the summer months working for a bar association or legal services program designed to prevent homelessness or assist homeless or indigent clients or their advocates. The intern must commit no less than eight continuous weeks between May 1 and October 1 to the program of his/her choice. Students should have a position offered, contingent of funding, from a qualified organization.
