Satisfactory Progress and Return of Funds

Satisfactory Academic Progress

Federal regulations require that students must be making satisfactory academic progress in order to maintain eligibility for federally assisted financial aid programs. Complete satisfactory academic progress standards for the Law School are covered in the Student Handbook under Academic Policy.

Return of Title IV Funds

Reauthorization of the Higher Education Amendments, signed into law on October 7, 1998, resulted in a change in the federal regulations governing the refund or return of federal (*Title IV) funds. In general, if a student withdraws during the first 60 percent of a term, a return of funds may be required. The detailed formula for the return of Title IV funds is available upon request from the Office of Financial Aid.
