Michael Ridley is a partner with Good, Wildman, Hegness & Walley in Newport Beach, where he specializes in the representation and formation of venture capital funds, small business investment companies, emerging start-up companies, and all aspects of the financing process. Professor Ridley has been involved in venture capital finance for more than two decades. He is a limited partner of several institutional venture capital funds, a general partner of an incubator fund, and a faculty member at the NASBIC Venture Capital Institute.

Professor Ridley received his B.A., with great distinction, from Stanford University in 1969 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1972. He has served as a trustee of Stanford University and as a member of the board's Investment Committee and Subcommittee for Venture Capital.

Professor Ridley teaches Critical Legal Issues in Structuring Venture Capital & Entrepreneurial Transactions
