Judge Hayes was first appointed to the bench in June of 1994 and began his Judicial career by serving as a Municipal Court Judge at the North Orange County Municipal Court. During his time as a Municipal Court Judge he worked every assignment at that courthouse, both civil and criminal, and ultimately became the Assistant Presiding Judge for that court. While serving as the Assistant Presiding Judge, he was elevated to the Orange County Superior Court in August 1998 and became the first Supervising Judge of the Orange County Superior Court at the North Justice Center. In 2001 he moved to the Family Law panel of the court, handling a family law direct calendar. In 2004 he was assigned to the unlimited Civil Panel direct calendar. During this time he handled unlimited Civil jury and non-jury trials while managing a direct calendar. COURSES TAUGHT: Trial Practice |
