Gialisa Gaffaney practiced litigation at both Davis, Wright, Tremaine LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP, focusing on media law, the First Amendment, and employment issues. She earned her law degree from Duke University School of Law, and her bachelor of science from Santa Clara University. Ms. Gaffaney has co-authored several articles related to the First Amendment, as well as a legal guide for employers. In 2005, she retired from the practice of law in order to pursue a career in teaching. In addition to teaching, she is a contributing author and chief editor of videos for MyPoliSciLab (a company that produces online content for political science courses).
