coastlineChapman University School of Law's home is in the city of Orange in the heart of Orange County, California, which Places Rated Almanac calls one of the best places to live in the United States.

Orange County is home to several major attractions, including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Angel Stadium (home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim), Honda Center (home of the Anaheim Ducks), Orange County Performing Arts Center and the Crystal Cathedral; as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, including Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Plus, you are always a short drive away from the beauty and recreational opportunities of the Pacific Ocean, San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains, and low and high deserts.

Orange County features numerous live theaters, playhouses, ballet, opera and symphony, street fairs and festivals, cultural centers, galleries and museums, coffeehouses and concerts, bistros and nightclubs. A myriad of outdoor recreation activities are available year-round in Orange County’s temperate climate, including surfing, skiing, biking, camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, nature walks, boating, whale watching, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis and golf (with more than 30 public golf courses located throughout Orange County).

Orange County's diverse economy is centered on manufacturing, trade, and recreational and service industries. Many of America’s largest corporations call Orange County their home or their U.S. headquarters, including Allergan, Apria Healthcare, Beckman Coulter, Broadcom, CKE Restaurants (Carl's and Hardy's), Conexant Systems, Ford Motor Co.'s Premier Automotive Group, KIA Motors America, Mazda North America, and Oakley. A rapidly growing high-tech base, offering 80,000 jobs, includes Ingram Micro and Western Digital.

Chapman is also located in Old Towne Orange, which is a historic residential neighborhood with coffee shops, theaters, libraries and restaurants within walking distance of campus.
