Services
We provide the following services:
- Ensure compliance with immigration law as it pertains to F-1 visa students
- Track student records and report as required by the Department of Homeland Security (SEVIS)
- Prepare and submit U.S. Citizenship Services forms for Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Change of Status
- Prepare various letters for government agencies
- Furnish informational sessions that relate to F-1 students, counsel foreign students regarding campus life, as well as life in the U.S.A.
- Stay current with Social Security Administration and Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) policies regarding non-citizens.
- Particular areas requiring assistance are housing, immigration transfers, travel information, visa renewal, on-campus employment, internships, medical insurance, limited academic advisement, finances, emotional and physical health with referrals to appropriate personnel.
- Serve as liaison between students, campus and surrounding community
- Coordinate Fall and Spring orientations
- Coordinate annual International Food Fair
