2009 National Collegiate Honors Council ConferenceWashington D.C.
Seven Honors students traveled to Washington D.C. at the end of October to present their research and projects at the 44th annual National Collegiate Honors Council Conference. Close to 2,000 Honors students and faculty members from across the nation - and from the Netherlands, Mexico and South Korea - attended the conference. The four-day event was packed with presentations, roundtables, poster sessions, meetings, workshops and plenary speakers. But a trip to the nation's capitol wouldn't be complete without taking time to learn more about our country - by visiting monuments along the National Mall, strolling by the White House, viewing some displays at the Smithsonian Institute and spending time at Kramer Books and Afterwards. Celebrating Halloween in Washington D.C. proved to be a treat, too.
