Warm, very windy weather (note the slicked-back hair look) later gave way to cold, windy days -- a real difference from California. It felt like fall ! |
NCHC conference in Philadelphia -- November 2006

|
Eleven students traveled to Philadelphia Nov. 15-19 to attend the National Collegiate Honors Council conference. More than 1,900 Honors faculty and students from across the nation and from countries abroad were at the event. Chapman students presenting projects were Katherine Blaisdell, Brittany Goettsch, Janelle Hughes, Jacob Kjelland, Miles Leicher, Julie Meigs, Melissa Polsenberg, Derek Porcella, Spencer Seibert, Earl Thorndyke and Diandra Weldon. Honors Director Patricia W. See made a presentation on "Stimulating Classroom Discussion." When not attending sessions or conference events, the group had a chance to explore Philadelphia on foot and by trolley, taking in the Philadelphia Art Museum, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. And lets not forget enjoying delicious Philly cheesesteaks, Amish cheese and Amish pancakes.
