Croquet Game
Rain Cancelled the first attempt, but drizzle didn't stop the second attempt - as a spirited game of croquet, inspired by the reading of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in Book Forum, got underway recently. Matt rescued the croquet set from Pat See's garage, cleaned it off and the fun began. Appropriately-shaped musroom cupcakes provided by Lauren were enjoyed by all after the competition. Named best dressed at the event were Lauren and Paul.

Fall Book Forum
|

|
The Fall Book Forum group has bravely tackled James Joyce's "Ulyssess," and has been taking it apart bit by bit - even taking turns reading sections with an Irish brogue. And Barney McGrane met the challenge of reading Joyce's manuscript, no small feat if you've seen Joyce's chicken scratch handwriting. Anyway, all this can lead to hunger, and the group has also dined on cashews, cookies, yogurt - and looked longingly upon Andy's homemade corned beef that he made, alas, for another group. |

The Group |
Beach Bonfire October 18, 2004
| It turned into a multi-generational night when Honors students shared a beach fire ring with some "older" adults (think of your parent's age group). Rob was the sole guy (where the rest of you guys, huh?) who ended up accompanying the otherwise female group for a night at the beach. Fun was had by all! Thanks to Katie and Aryiel for organizing the event. |
