Our audience:
KOCE-PBS television is the sixth most watched PBS station in the nation, and reaches five million households or 14 million people in Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

Your support makes relevant television possible:
Funding this television series allows us to continue to expose viewers to important health care information, and because we broadcast on a popular television station, we are able to reach a large audience.

Each episode covers timely topics, which are discussed by health care professionals—we ask them the same questions that patients would ask and showcase new information that viewers may not otherwise discover on their own.

The show’s host, Dr. Larry Santora, volunteers his time to host each episode. Dr. Santora is a cardiologist, and the guests are doctors, scientists, health care professionals and authors—and each is intent on explaining health issues in a clear and concise way. We focus on providing information—where to go for an exam, where to get more information, what questions to ask, how to recognize symptoms, etc.—which viewers may act on immediately.

On the technical side of the show, Chapman University film and television students gain real-world experience by working on a professional production, which is one of the hallmarks of the university: to provide students with well-rounded instruction – both in theory and in practice—that allows them to contribute to their chosen industry and confidently enter the job market.

In addition, Chapman’s mission, obviously, is to educate, and the television series is a successful example of the university’s public service commitment to extending knowledge to the larger community via both the television show and this Web site.
