Federal AidFederal Grants Federal grants consist of Pell Grant and the Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG). Both grants are need based and do not need to be repaid. Awards range from $400 to $4,731 for a Pell Grant (08-09) and up to $200 for SEOG.Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) Chapman participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) which includes Stafford loans and PLUS (Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students) and Grad PLUS loans. Stafford Loans can be need based or non-need based. Parent (PLUS) Loans are available for dependent students. Grad PLUS loans are available to graduate students (credential students are not eligible to borrow Grad PLUS). Both Stafford and PLUS Loans are borrowed through the bank of your choice or from our preferred lender list. They are all loans which must be repaid.
