Federal Grants
Federal grants consist of Pell Grant and the Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG). Both grants are need based, in most cases they do not need to be repaid. Awards range from $400 to $4,731 for Pell Grant (08-09) and from $200 to $2,500 for SEOG.

Federal Student and Parent Loans
Chapman participates in the Stafford Loan Program and the Perkins Loan Program. Stafford Loans can be need based or non-need based. Parent (PLUS) Loans are available for dependent students. Both Stafford and PLUS Loans are borrowed through the bank of your choice or from our preferred lender list. Perkins Loans are borrowed through the University and are only available to orange campus students. They are all loans which must be repaid.

Federal Work-Study
FWS is a work program for students that allows them to work on campus or off campus for a non-profit organization. Students may work up to 20 hours per week, usually at minimum wage or above. Visit the link above to see a listing of currently available jobs.

* All of the above awards require that you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
