Programs to Repay Your LoansAPLE (Assumption Program of Loans for Education) - If you're planning on a career in teaching, this program can provide you with up to $11,000 in loan repayment benefits over the course of four years. In exchange for teaching in either a low-income school or a teacher subject shortage area, the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) will repay a certain portion of your student loans. Teacher Loan Forgiveness Programs - Higherly qualified teachers may apply to have up to $5,000 of federal loans forgiven, or even up to $17,500 for math, science, and special education teachers.
