Federal Grad Plus Loan Program

The Federal Grad Plus Loan Program is funded through commercial lending institutions and guaranteed by the federal government.  It is available only to graduate students whose credit is in good standing.

Before applying for a Grad Plus Loan, you must first complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and be awarded a Grad Plus Loan.

After receiving an appropriate award, you must complete the Grad Plus Loan process by completing a Graduate Entrance Counseling session and signing a Master Promissory Note (MPN).  If you wish to borrow from a Chapman University recommended lender, you may complete the Entrance Counseling and an electronic MPN by clicking on the link below.  Otherwise, please complete the Graduate Entrance Counseling by clicking below and then obtain a paper MPN from your lender and mail it to the financial aid office.

After completing the Graduate Entrance Counseling and MPN, your lender will evaluate your credit history to determine if you meet federal standards.  If so, funds will be forwarded to Chapman at the start of each semester.
