Setting up Outlook 2003 to Delete SPAM

Open Microsoft Outlook 2003.

Click on "Tools" and select "Rules and Alerts".

Under the E-mail Rules tab, click on the "New Rule" button.

The Rules Wizard window will open.

Click the button that says “Start from blank rule” and highlight "Check messages when they arrive".

Then click "Next".

Scroll down and place a checkmark next to "with specific words in the subject or body" and then click on "Specific words" in the box below.

In the Search text Box that appears type:

*****SPAM*****

Then click the "Add" button.

Then click "OK".

Now click "Next".

Now place a checkmark in the box next to "move it to the specified folder".

Click on "specified" in the box below.

Scroll down and select the "SPAM" folder.

Click "OK".

Click "Next".

If you would like to make any exceptions to this rule, you may do so at this point.

If you do not need to make any exceptions, click "Next."

Leave the name of the rule as "*****SPAM*****".

Be sure to place checkmarks in the boxes next to "Run this rule now on messages already in 'Inbox'" and "Turn on this rule".

Click "Finish".

Click "OK".
