Setting up Outlook 2003 to Delete SPAM

Open Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Click on "Tools" and select "Rules and Alerts".

| Under the E-mail Rules tab, click on the "New Rule" button. |

The Rules Wizard window will open.
Click the button that says “Start from blank rule” and highlight "Check messages when they arrive".
Then click "Next".

| Scroll down and place a checkmark next to "with specific words in the subject or body" and then click on "Specific words" in the box below. |

In the Search text Box that appears type:
*****SPAM*****
Then click the "Add" button.
Then click "OK".

| Now click "Next". |
 |
|
Now place a checkmark in the box next to "move it to the specified folder".
Click on "specified" in the box below. |

Scroll down and select the "SPAM" folder.
Click "OK". |

| Click "Next". |
 |
|
If you would like to make any exceptions to this rule, you may do so at this point.
If you do not need to make any exceptions, click "Next." |

|
Leave the name of the rule as "*****SPAM*****".
Be sure to place checkmarks in the boxes next to "Run this rule now on messages already in 'Inbox'" and "Turn on this rule".
Click "Finish". |
