Creating a System Restore Point
Even though Windows XP System Restore creates it's own Restore Points, you can create your own, particularly after installing programs, or making some major hardware or software changes to your computer.
To access System Restore select Start --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore. |
Select Create a restore point, then click Next. |
Under Restore point descriptions, type the name you would like to name your restore point.
Once you've named the restore point, click on Create. |
After a few moments System Restore will create a new Restore Point, which you can restore to later.
Once you are done click Close.
After you make the Restore Point, and your system changes, go to System Restore in the Documentation page. |
