Virtual Private Networking Setup for Windows 2000

1. Click on the "start" menu, "Settings", and then "Control Panel".  
2. Double Click on, "Network and Dial-up Connections"  
3. Then double click on, "Make New Connection"  
4. When the Network Connection Wizard has started, Select "Next".  
5. Select Network Connection Type to: "Connect to a private network through the Internet".

Then click "Next".
 
6. If you use dialup/cable modem (PPPoE) account you will see this screen, select the connection to be dialed first.

Then Click "Next".
 
7. Type in the host name as "vpn.chapman.edu".

Then click "Next".
 
8. Name your connection accordingly, and select "Add any shortcut to my desktop"

Then Click "Finish".
 
9. Select "Don't display this reminder again", and click on "Yes".  
10. Double click the "ChapNet VPN Connection" shortcut on your desktop.

11. Enter your user name (your email name minus the @chapman.edu. i.e. if your Chapman email was stauffacher@chapman.edu, you would enter stauffacheras your user name.)

12. Enter your password (your password is the same password you use for email.)

13. Click "Connect".
