Interfaith Center Student Docents
Erika Sanders
My name is Erika Sanders and I am currently a junior Peace Studies and Political Science double major and music minor. I am involved in Disciples on Campus, the GOAT Society (Global Observation and Appreciation of the Trascendent), and am currently President of the Interfaith Council. I love being involved in interfaith work and am grateful for all the opportunities I have to interact with students of other faiths on campus. Working in the interfaith center fills me with hope for the future of interfaith relations and I often find myself inspired by the many people who gather here. In addition to my involvement at the interfaith center, I also sing in the university's choral union and am an active member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.
Jared Wallace
My name is Jared Wallace. I grew up in south Orange County and spent a few years of high school in the exciting town of Boring, Oregon. I am a junior History major with minors in Education, Peace Studies, and Religious Studies. I am a member of the majority of the religious organizations on campus and somehow ended up as president of Chapman’s Religious Studies Club, the GOAT Society (which stands for Global Observation and Appreciation of the Transcendent). I love working at the Fish Interfaith Center because it is a great place for spiritual and cultural growth and the people that work here are amazing beyond words. In my spare time I tutor high school students, do scenic photography, and hike as often as I am able to.
Millie Zandi
My name is Millie Zandi, and I am a senior majoring in Film Production. I am founder of the Baha'i Club on campus and am heavily involved with the Fish Interfaith Center and its activities. I currently serve as president of the Chapman Baha'i Club. Part-time wandering dervish, I also enjoy a good poem. Hoping to improve the spiritual life on campus, I am open to any and all spiritually-oriented events or discussions. One day I will change the world.
Patricia Abouabdo
My name is Patricia Abouabdo and I am a junior majoring in Integrated Education Studies, with minors in Mathematics and Psychology. I am a member of Disciples on Campus as wel as Alpha Gamma Delta. I was born and raised in Texas and then moved to Southern California in 5th grade, and have been here ever since. I love working at the Interfaith Center because of the sense of community that is created between everyone who walks through the doors.
Rachel Stoughton
Hi, my name is Rachel Stoughton and I am a sophmore majoring in Vocal Performance. I grew up in the Orange County area and cannot get enough of its beauty and lovely weather. I am a member of the Latter Day Saints Student Association and love attending the various activities and events that take place at the Fish Interfaith Center. Working in such a beautiful place full of happy people always bring a smile to my face. Every time I enter the building I learn something new that helps me grow spiritually as an individual and broadens my understanding of others beliefs and cultures. In my spare time I love reading, motorcycle riding in the desert, and being with my family.
Sabreena Rodriguez
My name is Sabreena Rodriguez. I am an active member of the Disciples on Campus, as well as a new member to the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. I first heard about the Fish Interfaith Center from numerous campus tours and from my cousin Angela, who worked as a docent when she went to Chapman. I love the atmosphere that the Fish Interfaith Center offers, and the fact that I can learn about different faiths while I work here is a plus. I am a Psychology major with a minor in Lead. I love reading, roller coasters, snowboarding, and hanging out with my family.
