The Transition Initiative strives to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities families, educators, and local and state agency representatives in areas critical to the successful transition of individuals with disabilities into the adult world. This group intends to be proactive in the evaluation of current services and supports available for these individuals and the design and delivery of quality transition training and technical assistance to all relevant stakeholders in the community. Our stakeholders include: individuals with disabilities, families, community agencies, school districts, post-secondary education institutions and programs, employers, and legislators . OCTI’s goal and commitment continues to be the academic and vocational success of youth in the least restrictive environment, leading to meaningful post-school outcomes.

These resources are collected and compiled with all stakeholders in mind. They may take the form of helpful websites or apps, available trainings, reports, and academic publications. As we work with our leadership team and community members this page will be expanded and improved. Please stay tuned for the launch of our new and improved resources.
Our team is dedicated to bridging the gap between research and practice. We work with various agencies and stakeholders to use evidence-based strategies and continuously collect data to be sure these strategies are effective for our community and population. Our goal is to share this information with others, so youth across the nation can benefit from our experiences.
