Let's Talk Sustainably
A sustainability discussion circle is a comprehensive learning program that empowers people to improve the world around them as they go about their daily lives and how to incorporate sustainable practices into their normal routine. Each sustainability circle is about an hour long, with the first ten minutes devoted to the introduction of the circle's topic and a few key things to think about, leaving the rest of the hour completely open for discussion. The circles generally occur every 4-6 weeks and are centered on sustainable topics and how they apply to Chapman and the community, and each one is individual of the others, so you can attend as few or as many of them as you'd like.
The purpose of these circles is to help integrate sustainable practices into Chapman University, and to continuing making it the greenest school in Orange County.
As a wise woman once said,"Only within the moment of time represented by the present century has one species, man, acquired significant power to alter the nature of the world," Rachel Carson. We have the power to change the world both negatively and positively, and it all starts with the verbalization of thought, and the freedom of expression.
