Five years, five playoff berths for the Chapman women's basketball team under head coach Carol Jue. The sixth-year coach has had no trouble carrying on the rich tradition of women's basketball at Chapman, guiding the Panthers to their eighth consecutive NCAA tournament berth in 2007-08 and setting a new school record for wins in a season with a 24-4 mark last year. In 2005, Jue was honored by the Association of Division III Independents as Coach of the Year. Meanwhile, the Panthers have won over 78 percent of their games since Jue took over in 2003.

Jue was no stranger to winning at the NCAA Division III level having spent four prior years at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges as an assistant coach and serving in the 2002-03 season as the interim head coach. In her four years at Claremont, the Athenas posted a 66-34 record (.660), including a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SCIAC) championship and NCAA tournament berth in 2001, as well as two second-place finishes.

Jue played collegiately at both Cal State Los Angeles and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and was selected team MVP and named to the All-SCIAC team while playing at Claremont from 1991-92. She was a two-time All-San Gabriel Valley honoree as a player at Montebello High School in the mid-1980’s. She and her husband, Kevin, currently reside in Orange with their sons, Ryley and Carson.
