HAT TRICKS ALL AROUND AS PANTHERS DEFEAT MACALESTER

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women’s water polo team received hat tricks from three players on its way to an 11-6 victory over visiting Macalester College (Minn.) at the Orange High Pool on Tuesday night. Also, senior goalie Constance McMorris made 14 blocks to become Chapman’s all-time career leader in goalie saves with 345.

The Panthers built a 3-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Sophomore Jennifer Manship and freshmen Kaitlyn Calhoun and Brittney Koski each scored in the first seven minutes and finished with three goals each. Koski assisted on four other goals and earned a team-high five steals for Chapman (4-6). Manship currently leads the team with 39 goals, averaging just fewer than four goals per game.

McMorris, meanwhile, had another big game in the cage. She has earned at least 10 blocks in five of the Panthers’ first 10 games this season.

Chapman travels to Claremont this weekend to take part in the Claremont Tournament.
