ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University women’s basketball team defeated the University of Dallas 73-53 at Hutton Center on Saturday night for its fourth consecutive win. The Panthers built a large second-half cushion, out-scoring the Crusaders by 16 points after leading by just four at halftime. Chapman (17-3) shot 60 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes and was led by junior G Nicole Hayman who scored 11 of her game-high 17 points in the second half. Junior G Lauren Kamiyama contributed 13 points and five assists. Defensively, freshman G Christina Ly grabbed six rebounds and added four steals. Dallas (11-8) was led by Cara Sczepanski with 13 points and nine rebounds. Ashley Holder also scored 13 points.
