 Alex Mulé

| ORANGE, Calif. – If there were any question as to just how bright the future of Chapman University water polo is going to be, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches made it official last week. For the first time in school history the Panthers had two men’s water polo players named to the NCAA Division III All-America team and they are both freshman: utilityman Alex Mulé and goalie Colin Gasper.
Mulé shattered the school record when he scored 101 goals in 25 games for the Panthers in 2006 and was the Collegiate Water Polo national goal scoring champion. The freshman averaged just over four goals per game and led all varsity players in the nation, including NCAA Divisions I, II, III and NAIA in scoring.
Gasper, another Panther rookie, finished the season ranked No. 13 in the nation in blocks (221) and averaged 8.8 blocks per game for Chapman, which posted a 12-14 record overall. His 8.24 goals-against average in 2006 was the third-lowest in Chapman history.
