ENCORE PERFORMANCE: ALL-AMERICAN CHU GOING BACK TO NATIONALS

ORANGE, Calif. – On the strength of a quarterfinals appearance at Ojai and a 21-6 singles record this season, senior All-American Robert Chu has earned another invite to play in the 2006 NCAA Division III men's tennis national championships in Fredricksburg, Va. The tournament, hosted by the University of Mary Washington, will be May 17-19.

This marks the second time Chu has earned a berth in the NCAA tournament and earned All-America honors. He was ousted in the first round of the tournament in 2005. He is the second player in Chapman’s Division III history to earn multiple All-America awards. Chu’s 21-6 record includes a second place finish at the West Regional tournament last fall. The senior is currently ranked No. 4 in the West Region.

The field of 32 players includes eight from the West Region, including defending national champion Matt Seeberger from U.C. Santa Cruz.
