ORANGE, Calif. – All 12 Panthers scored at least one field goal as Chapman University’s men’s basketball team defeated visiting Life Pacific College 84-73 at the Hutton Sports Center on Friday night. The Panthers won their fourth straight for the third time this season and have won eight of their past nine games. Leading Chapman (16-7) offensively was junior guard Josh Flynn-Brown who scored 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Three others reached double figures in scoring including sophomore forward Rob Selway who earned his third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Life Pacific (14-11), who entered the game having won eight of its past 10 games, came to life in the second half with a 48-point outburst. Chapman’s lead, which was a large as 30 points in the second half, was cut down to 10 with under a minute to play, thanks to some sharp outside shooting by the Warriors. Life’s Ramonde Clark made eight three-pointers and Nate Hiner added five to lead all scorers with 27 and 25 points, apiece.
