ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men’s basketball team won its season-high sixth straight game on Saturday night defeating La Sierra University 76-60 at Hutton Sports Center. The win was the fifth straight at Hutton, improving the Panthers’ home record to 8-1. Chapman (14-6) exited the first half with an 18-point lead and maintained the double-digit advantage throughout the second half. The Panthers shot 58.6 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes and were led by senior G Miguel Bennett who went 6-for-9 with 14 points. Sophomore G Dan Aguilar supported Chapman’s offensive attack with 12 points and five assists. Freshman G Griffin Ramme scored 12 points also and added seven rebounds. Roshawn Knight scored game-high 18 points for La Sierra (6-13) and Ryan White helped out with 15 points.
