ORANGE, Calif. – For the second year in a row, Chapman University Athletics will partner with the school’s on-campus radio station, Chapman Radio, to broadcast the Panthers’ football games in 2008 streaming live on the internet at www.chapmanradio.com. Chapman Radio has announced it will broadcast all eight – home and away – remaining regular season games beginning with the Panthers’ home opener this Saturday against Whitworth (Wash.) College at 7 p.m. Sophomore Ryan Ochs will handle play-by-play duties with fellow sophomores Justin Riley and Stephen Nelson handling commentary for the team’s first broadcast on Saturday. Chapman Radio will go on the air live at approximately 6:45 p.m. with a pre-game show. The broadcast will also feature the popular “Coach O. Show” at halftime in an interview segment with Chapman football head coach Bob Owens. The eight-game schedule includes Chapman’s homecoming game against Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Oct. 4, as well as matchups with nationally-ranked Occidental (Oct. 18) and Redlands (Nov. 8). The Panthers are currently 1-0 this season after a 31-6 win at Menlo on Sept. 13. Chapman Radio also plans to archive each broadcast on their website.
