FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The senior right-hander has already been named West Region Pitcher of the Year and two-time All-America by the American Baseball Coaches Association, as well as Association of Division III Independents Pitcher of the Year. The accolades are well-deserved for Drag, who posted a perfect 16-0 record in 2007, tying Chapman’s all-time single-season wins record and setting a new school record for career victories (30-2). He also had two saves, a 2.41 ERA and 101 strikeouts. He led the nation in victories and ranked seventh in strikeouts. Opponents batted .267 against him and he was the winning pitcher in an 8-4 decision over Marietta in the first round of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. Last season, Drag also earned West Region Pitcher of the Year from the NCBWA when he was 10-2 with a 0.82 ERA and eight saves.
