ORANGE, Calif. – D3baseball.com’s No. 1-ranked Chapman University continued its 10-game winning streak in Friday afternoon’s 12-2 victory against visiting Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at Hart Park. The Panthers continued to stretch their winning streak at home to 12 and have scored over 10 runs in five of their last seven games. All-American senior RHP Wayde Kitchens earned his second win of the season for Chapman (18-2), holding the Stags to one hit with 10 strikeouts in six innings. Freshman RHP Adam Kordich silenced the rest of the Claremont (10-11-2) dugout, allowing only one hit and two runs. Chapman’s offense totaled 12 hits, featuring home runs by seniors OF Mike Vass and IF Kyle Redding. Redding went 2-for-4 at the plate, adding two RBI to his team high total of 24. All-American junior IF Kurt Yacko was Chapman’s go-to guy once again, driving in two runs with three hits. ### |
