ORANGE, Calif. – A weekend series between two NCAA Division III nationally-ranked foes turned into a pair of lopsided games with the victors alternating nights. On Saturday night it was the No. 2-ranked Chapman University baseball team upending No. 15 Kean University (N.J.) 14-2. By the end of the weekend, the Cougars had returned the favor, defeating host Chapman 13-3 at Hart Park on Sunday night. Game 1: Chapman 14, Kean 2 Senior RHP Devin Drag (6-0) was solid in winning his sixth straight decision this season. Drag scattered eight hits and allowed just one run in six innings. Game 2: Kean 13, Chapman 3 Chapman’s (15-2) defense committed five errors and accounted for seven unearned runs. The Panthers’ eight-game winning streak and 10-game home winning streak were both snapped. Cavan finished the game 2-for-4 with a two-run homer – his first of the season. Chapman and Kean will complete a three-game season series with a newly scheduled game on Thursday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at Hart Park. Before that, the Panthers will host Ithaca (N.Y.) on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Game stats available online:
