Wheatley, a team captain since his sophomore season, earned All-Tournament honors at the Lee Fulmer Invitational at Redlands last weekend with 22.6 points per game in three games for the Panthers. The junior set a new career-high with 33 points in Chapman's 18-point victory over La Verne on Thursday, then recorded his third career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a two-point loss to Cal State Hayward on Friday. Wheatley is currently second on the team with a scoring average of 14.8 and leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per game.
