Women's Water Polo

After experiencing a new found success in 2004, Chapman’s women’s water polo team’s was ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation this season thanks to veteran play from players such as goalie Katie Arntzen. The junior set a career high with 112 blocks in her second full-time season in goal for the Panthers, which head into the Collegiate III Championships this weekend seeded No. 2. She has started 24 of 26 games for Chapman, averaging 4.31 blocks per game, compared to last year’s 3.96 blocks per game. Katie had seven blocks in Chapman’s win over Cal State East Bay last Friday at the Western Water Polo Association tournament.
