Not too many Chapman players have had a knack for getting on base like first baseman Jason Mooneyham. The slugger set a school record in 2004 with a .535 on-base percentage and is on pace to eclipse that mark this season, currently at .565 heading into the Chapman Invitational sponsored by Volvo of Orange, this weekend. Mooneyham leads the team in seven offensive categories, including average (.400), which he boosted with his first four-hit game of the season versus Whittier on Tuesday (4-for-5 with three 2Bs). Even more impressive, the senior hasn't committed an error in 307 chances this year.
