Starting a new year at a new school can be difficult for most people, but not for transfer, Robert Chu, who began the 2005 season with athletic excellence. The junior who was a standout player at Orange Coast College, has won five straight matches, including his victory over Cal Lutheran’s top-seed, ranked No. 30 in the nation, last Saturday in straight sets 7-5, 6-1. Chu is now 5-1 overall this season and 3-1 in the number one position, posting only one singles loss for the Panthers. He is a key member of Chapman’s men’s tennis team, which is now 3-3 this season.
