Currently ranked No. 9 in the West Region, Yook is making a strong bid to earn a berth at the NCAA Division III championships in May. He is already off to a 9-2 start in singles play this season, including five straight victories. What's even more impressive is that three of those wins have come against other ranked opponents. Yook rallied on Sunday from a one-game deficit to defeat the Atlantic Region's No. 14-ranked singles player from Carnegie Mellon. The junior won 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 and has already eclipsed his win total from a year ago.
