JULIA FISH Women's Swimming
The freshman swimmer has been quite the "fish" in the pool for Chapman this season. Her time of 5:26.9 in the 500-yard freestyle at the SOKA meet on Jan. 19 was just four seconds shy of the school record set back in 2004. Now Fish and her teammates are preparing to compete at the Pacific Coast Swim Championships in Belmont later this month where the rookie will eye not only school records but a possible berth at the NCAA Division III championships in three events: the 500 free, the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke.
