Carney climbed to the top of Chapman's Division III scoring list with 24 points against Whittier on Friday night at the Lee Fulmer Memorial Tournament. His efforts propelled the Panthers into the championship game of the tournament, where they finished second. After Chapman's 59-48 win over Cal Lutheran on Wednesday, Carney has 1,323 career points, which ranks sixth all-time in Panther history. Carney is averaging 15.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season and leads the team with 31 assists.
