KYLE REDDING Baseball
You know you're on fire in baseball when you go 2-for-4 in a game and your batting average goes down. That's exactly what happened to junior Kyle Redding on Tuesday when he collected two hits in Chapman's 4-3 win over Claremont and his team-leading batting average fell to .559 (19-for-34). Redding is the only Panther to collect at least one hit in every one of Chapman's first 10 games (the Panthers are 9-1). He also went 4-for-4 in the Panthers' 18-3 win over McMurry (Tex.) last Saturday. Quite an improvement for Chapman's No. 9 hitter with a career .228 batting average before this season.
