There doesn't appear to be a sophomore jinx with this righthander. Yacko opened the season with a 3-for-5 performance in Chapman's 9-3 win over Whittier on Friday, including clubbing a two-run homer. He wasn't done. On Saturday, Yacko collected another three hits, hit his second home run and pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the victory in the first game of a doubleheader with the Poets. In the second game, Yacko put the finishing touches on his weekend performance with a 1-2-3 ninth inning, striking out the side in order to earn the save. Chapman won all three games with Yacko collecting four extra-base hits and eight RBI.
