The first-year starter set Chapman's all-time record for assists in a game when she posted 15 against U.C. Santa Cruz on Friday in the Pioneer Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Cal State East Bay. The sophomore point guard helped the Panthers to a 63-38 win when she broke the previous record of 14 assists accomplished only twice previously in Panther history. Kunisaki aided Chapman’s cause when she added another 10 assists in the 80-76 win over Cal State East Bay in Saturday’s tournament championship game. Averaging 8.2 points and 7.5 assists per game, she leads the team with 60 assists and 22 steals. Chapman has won six straight and is now 6-2 overall this season.
