Athlete of the WeekNovember 23, 2005
Two-sport athlete Sean Ward made the transition from football to basketball appear effortless as he helped the Panthers win two games in the Chapman Invitational last weekend. The defensive back finished the football season with 27 tackles and three pass breakups, playing in all nine games for Chapman. Now, the senior guard is shooting 67 percent from the field and scored seven points in each of the first two games. He added four assists in Chapman’s 101-59 win over West Coast Baptist and one steal in the 69-41 defeat of Pacific Union. Over the last two years, Sean’s effort could never be questioned whether he’s been making a big hit on the gridiron or diving for a loose ball on the court. |
