Middle blocker Jill Felger is quickly, but not-so-quietly, making her presence known in her first season with the Panthers. The freshman earned a career-high 20 kills against Swarthmore College (Pa.) on Saturday and totaled 47 kills and a .525 hitting percentage in three matches last weekend. That upped her season total to 213 kills – tops on the team – and raised her team-best hitting percentage to .315. Jill also leads the team with 42 blocks, including 11 in the past three matches. She has posted double-digits in kills in 13 of the team’s 18 matches this season, and is averaging 3.38 kills per game for the Panthers who are 12-6.
