Sanders helped the Panthers snap out of a team slump last week, batting .500 (8-for-16) with three homers, two doubles and five RBI as the No. 3-ranked Chapman softball team won six straight games. Her solo home run against Methodist (N.C.) in the Sun West Tournament proved to be the game winner in a 2-0 victory. And her solo homer against Central (Iowa) tied the game in the seventh inning in an eventual 6-4 Chapman win. Sanders currently leads the Panthers in batting (.351), on-base percentage (.479) and total bases (42), while leading all infielders with a .972 fielding percentage, sharing time between third base and catcher.
