Making waves in her freshman season with the Panthers, Loyd broke two school records at the Pacific Coast Swimming Championships to end her rookie season on a high note. Loyd shaved hundredths of seconds off of the previously set 100-yard breaststroke record with a time of 1:11.12 at the conference championships on Feb. 11. She set her second record of the weekend the next day when she recorded a time of 2:33.59 in the 200-yard breaststroke making a big splash for the future of Chapman swimming.
