One of three Chapman players averaging over 10 points per game, Brands scored 12 points to aid the Panthers in their 98-75 win over La Sierra on Saturday. The junior center is looking quite comfortable in her new starting role this season. In 16 games she has scored in double-figures nine times this season and leads the team in free throw shooting (82.8 percent). Brands also leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game and is shooting an impressive 61.6 percent from the field. The Chapman women have won four of their last five games and are now 11-5 overall.
