Welcome to CareerLeader! This is the top of the line career assessment tool. It provides in-depth feedback on what careers you are best suited for, what organizational culture you will potentially succeed in, information about careers and different industries, and much more. Your CareerLeader assessment will provide you with the following:

• The Professional Report. "Tells the story" of your test results, starting with your key characteristics. These are the core elements of business work that are going to be important to you at every stage of your career. First and foremost among these core elements, are your interests. The next elements to consider are organizational culture and how it will affect your career, your abilities, and your motivators. Each of these characteristics will be discussed in detail in the report.
  
• Your Best Career Path Matches. These are the business career paths (Marketing, IT, Management, Finance, Real Estate Development, etc.) which are a good match for you. A “good match” means your interests will likely be satisfied, your abilities are a good fit, and the career will likely provide good motivation for you. A Breakout Report from this section will provide specific details on exactly why CareerLeader has recommended a particular career path for you.
  
• Next Steps. Tells you what to do with all the information CareerLeader has provided to you, including tips on assessing the marketplace and how to formulate your career campaign.

To Use CareerLeader*:

1. Log onto Blackboard
2. Under My Organizations, click on MBA Program
3. Click on Career Management  in the menu on the left
4. Click on the CareerLeader link and follow the login instructions provided

Follow-up. No more than 3-4 weeks after you have completed the tests, make a 30 minute appointment with me to go over your results and Next Steps. It is extremely important that you complete your initial CareerLeader process by making an appointment and getting clear on what your “game plan” should be moving forward.
