Associate Professor of Finance. Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Broughton does option and capital markets research. His articles have appeared in leading finance journals such as the Journal of Business, Financial Review, Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics and Journal of Financial Services Research, and he has been quoted in the national press. Dr. Broughton also serves as an expert witness on various financial issues. He has taught at Harvard University, the College of William and Mary and Florida State University. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Broughton was an economist with the Institute for Water Resources, the Bureau of International Labor Affairs and Bell Atlantic Corporation. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Business Research.
