Robert J. CristianoDr. Cristiano joined the Chapman community in 2006 as Associate Director of the Hobbs Institute of Real Estate, Law & Environmental Studies. In 2008 he was named the Real Estate Professional in Residence at the Hoag Center for Real Estate & Finance. Previously, he was an Instructor in the Graduate School of Management at University of California Irvine teaching a course on Real Estate Development. 

Trained as a psychologist in the late 1970s, Cristiano was a pioneer in the field of sports psychology. He was the Director of The Institute of Sports Excellence at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He was a consultant to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Committee, many Olympians and several professional athletes.

For the last 25 years, Cristiano has been a successful real estate developer in Southern California specializing in land entitlement. His expertise includes real estate financing from the Middle East where he has traveled for nearly 20 years. Cristiano is working on his largest project – a $300,000,000 real estate fund to acquire distressed real estate projects throughout the United States.
